The 985 Takedown is an excellent solution for over/under, side-by-side, and other takedown shotguns that don’t require a full-length gun case. The 36.6-inch interior keeps the overall package much more manageable, while the dedicated foam layout provides organized storage for the firearm and accessories. The wheels and locking latches are especially useful when travelling with valuable sporting shotguns.

The NANUK 985 Takedown Shotgun Case combines a compact takedown format with NANUK’s professional-grade protection for sporting shotguns.

The custom foam insert provides dedicated storage for a disassembled shotgun along with popular accessories and includes a dedicated location for a desiccant canister. This organized layout helps keep components separated and securely positioned during transportation.

Built from lightweight, impact-resistant NK-7 resin, the 985 features an IP67 waterproof rating and NANUK’s PowerClaw latching system. The Takedown configuration also incorporates 2 TSA-accepted locking latches, allowing the case to be securely locked while remaining accessible for inspection when required.

With 36.6″ × 14.5″ × 6″ interior dimensions, the case provides substantial storage while remaining considerably shorter than a conventional full-length shotgun case. Integrated polyurethane wheels, spring-loaded handles, stainless-steel hardware, and an automatic pressure release valve further enhance its suitability for demanding transportation and travel.
